Our Services and Mission

Do Something partners with individuals, families, and the community to link people in need to resources that encourage, equip, and empower them to live a life of wholeness and freedom filled with joy and hope. Whether you are a family member, friend or you yourself are affected by addiction, we are here to bring new hope.

Meetings

There are a variety of AA, NA, Al-Anon, Nar-Anon, Alateen and Celebrate Recovery meetings meetings in and around Brown County.

Life Skills Classes

We welcome volunteers that are willing to teach a life skills class including, but not limited to, cooking, finances, resume building, and job searching.

Stigma Reduction and Awareness

Do Something is committed to raising awareness in the community as well as reducing the stigma associated with substance use.

Social Events

Do Something supports social events for those in recovery and their families. We know that loneliness can be a trigger for those in recovery, especially in early recovery. Come out to an event, meet new people, and make new connections.

Networking and Collaboration

Do Something continuously networks and collaborates with other organizations locally and regionally. We offer support to other recovery organizations, other nonprofits, as well as gain connections and learn about resources that we can connect people to in Brown County.

A Safe, Sober Spot

Those in recovery must change their people, places and things. Launch House will offer that one safe space for those in recovery. Read a book, attend a meeting, grab a cup of coffee and surround yourself with a new social circle that is healthy for you and your new lifestyle.

Social Services

Get connected with local social services including food, transportation, and employment.

Community Education

DO Something in partnership with other community organizations, is committed to providing free education to the communities of Brown County.

Treatment Facilities

Get connected with treatment facilities including residential, intensive outpatient and sober living.

Get Involved

Can you help? Absolutely! Do Something depends on community involvement to stay open and offer as many services as possible.

You can help leading a meeting, teaching a life skill class or helping with clean up. Other ways to help include monetary donations, gas cards and gift cards. Click the "Give Now" button below to open our secure donation window. If you'd like to make a recurring donation, please select Recurring Donation checkbox. Thanks to your generosity, we have distributed nearly 300 motivational incentive gift cards (now $10 each!) to people in recovery through our local partner organizations. These gift cards are intended to encourage positive steps forward, and each card distribution is accompanied by a short survey to gauge impact. We’re also excited to continue our work through ReWoven, the trauma-healing curriculum we commissioned. To date, more than 200 people have completed the course and begun their journey toward wholeness.

"They showed me that I wasn't alone I this world and I was worth love and respect when I didn't feel that in side and being a homeless drug addict and lost in the world I'm grateful for the efforts and time and resources that they helped me with so that I could pick myself back up and have a fighting chance to be the man and father that Jesus made me to be."
